CAMP ELLIS. These clients turned to us when the site’s original cottage, having been in the family for almost 100 years, was destroyed in a storm. We were asked to step in to help them rebuild on this ocean-front site in Saco, Maine. Due to the new strict standards and local regulations for building on a sand dune, we encountered significant challenges while designing and rebuilding on this site. Visiting family and friends quickly discovered that the design promotes the cottage’s original and simple aspiration for outdoor living.
